Mexican free-tailed bats spiral out of Eckert James River Bat Cave Preserve in Texas at dusk. The bats are hungry for pests like corn earworm moths—nutrition to keep milk flowing for their pups. Every spring millions of free-tails return to this cave.

So awesome!  I adore bats!

19 days ‘till Halloween!

I made this cute icicle ring a while ago with some moulds and clays my friend Saltje let me use from her stash :D

Yesterday I went to Hasselt for a fun day out with my friend Saltje :) We had decided we wanted to dress up in Halloween lolita and wander around town having fun :) First we went to the Orangerie to have lunch where Saltje had cheese sandwiches with a salad and I had apple pie with vanilla sauce and a strawberry. There were red berries too but as I don’t like those I gave them to Saltje :)

After that we went to go sit somewhere quiet enjoying the nice weather and eating macarons I had bought at a local candy store the day before :)

Afterwards we wandered around town some more, a lot of people were out because there was some kind of 20 kilometer running event going on. One woman even randomly took our photo, I thought it was pretty rude, she could have just asked. Then we went to the Hasselt Fashion Museum to see the Devout/Divine - Fashion vs Religion exibit. And of course we profitted of the museum lay-out and light to take some more outfit shots :)

I made this ring with the help of my friend Saltje, who was kind enough to let me use some of her moulds and fimo clays :) And who helped out with the cupcake “chocolate” :)
