the graveyard scene, the golden years
my Saturday Enchanted coord. Photo by perception crisis photography. I had such an amazing time at this event and cannot thank the organizers enough for putting on such an incredible weekend. It was so great to see so many old friends and make new ones :) Can’t wait to see everyone again next year!

you looked great at the event… I wanted to talk to you and tell in person but, I’m a bit shy and well didn’t dare… kinda sad about it but, :) this way you also get to know what I thought :)
Ok this sort of thing being sold as any kind of proper lolita fashion just pisses me off (and for anyone wondering, Cloggo, who I reblogged this from incorrectly tagged this as both steampunk lolita and gothic lolita). First of all, cosplay and Lolita fashion are (unless you are cosplaying a character that happens to dress the fashion) two entirely DIFFERENT things. Cosplay is not lolita, and lolita is NOT cosplay. Cosplay is as accurately as possible portraying a fictional character (or in some cases real person but that aside). Lolita is a Japanese fashion style! Secondly, I don’t care about people wanting to display their cleavage, that’s well within their right and if they feel like it, go for it. BUT that kind of outfit is entirely inappropriate for lolita fashion, ANY kind of lolita fashion. This is NOT Gothic Lolita nor steampunk lolita, and to claim it is, is just misrepresenting a fashion style that has to deal with enough prejudice as it is. So just don’t pull shit like that, it’s really uncool and simply not done. /rant
